i've swapped ports on the switch, no difference, the NIC is onboard, suppose i could swap it out but it tests ok... i use static for ease of remote access and file sharing etc.

Just can't figure out why it drops the ip, but still shows as connected. i've even blown all the tcpip stack away and redone it, still the same though.

I have tried using DHCP for the one dodgy machine too, still the same error...
