Well not exactly, the xda has 2 reset modes,
soft reset ..... same as a conventional pc restart and a hard reset, like a format of a hard drive, lose all installed apps etc etc, but it returns to factory set up.

Now another forum I frequent ( xda-developers.com ) they have a few roms for the xda, sort of a software upgrade, I'm thinking of going for it and just wondered how far I could screww up the internals of my xda.
