Hmmm, and I can smell that sort of burning smell you usually get from Scalextric controllers!
With luck it COULD just be the psu....

edit - if it's JUST a server do you NEED more than 500mhz?

Anyway if your'e cpu has popped I may have a k6 knocking about in my spare parts drawer. (not a 500mhz one tho - more like 400)
