2mb on a PACE
that should result in the box bursting into tears and then refusing to work.
Are you sure they have not just upgraded you to 1mb? Press page up, then page down, then blue. You should be seeing "stb-mid.cm" on the network status pages.
If you are on 2mb you definately need a Samsung... if you are not then you don't need a samsung but do need to have an engineer out
