Thanks Zingle, tried having hd and cd rom as primary boot but did not make a difference

Cheers mate, don't think I'll be needing it because..................

Out of frustration I tried *cough, a copy I had about the place and lo and behold, it booted and installed now I'm gonna try this and that and see if I can activate it.
