Photoshop Elements is highly recommended. If you don't need the latest version then try to get hold of Elements 2.0 as the CD contains both the Mac and Windows versions.
RealPlayer (go to
http://www real.com/mac and click on the
button) is a whole lot better than the Windows version as it doesn't contain any of the bloatware.
MS Remote Desktop Client works almost identically to the Windows version and is very useful if you have any computers running XP Pro.
And always remember that
Version Tracker is your friend.
