This happened to me during the last election that I was registered in Northampton. At the time I was living in Cambridge but me and the missus got our postal votes trough but the envelopes had different numbers on (they were all supposed to match) we called them up (this was 14 DAYs before the election) and asked what to do (as they would count as spoiled) and they said put them in an envelope and send them to the returning office detailig the problem and they'd be replaced.

HA HA HA!

Saw nothing despite ringing them several times, the election came and went wrote to complain and basically got told we don't know who dealt with the issue and we had a number of temps in over the election period to cope with the extra work and we're doing nothing about it...

Passed it all to the local Rag (figuring they'd be interested) bugger all didn't care one bit....
