I've totally thrown in the towel on this one
tried to configure the lappie (the NIC was on Nortons list anyway) and still get error 33 'unable to bind'
Tried setting up 'mapped drive' but it asks for DOS LAN Client files
tried to Google for those and got fed up (although I did find something - it was beyond me)
Think I'll just backup vital files and forget it
