Because you gave a glib response that had nothing to do with what I was asking.

With this new question are you questioning my loyalty to the woman of my dreams before I met her ?
I am asking exactly what I asked.

If a woman came up to you and made persistant advances and would not take "no" for an answer (or even "f-off") would you use physical violence against her (as you have already said you would against a gay man who did the same) in order to "teach her a good hard lesson"?

Excuse me??? What the *hell* does this have to do with the subject under discussion? Is anyone here advocating that murder *should* be acceptable?

Gay marriage may be *in* today but out in 20 years. There have always been fads. What makes you think it is here to stay? [rhetorical - not addressed to you] Has it not been considered before? Have we suddenly seen the light in today's society? Interesting questions.....
In our society IMO we have only just developed sufficiently to be able to consider such a thing in a rational and sensible manner and not respond with automatic prejudiced revulsion that this is simply "unnatural" or "deviant" etc.

However it's interesting to note that in other cultures the concept *has* been acceptable see http://www.bluecorncomics.com/gaymarry.htm for some more information eg:

"Segal pointed to "sanctified same-sex unions in the fourth century in Christianity" and to the Greeks and Romans applying the concept of marriage to same-sex couples, not to mention the Native American berdache tradition in which males married males."

Again you use a pejorative word in place of an argument.

In Greek society it was not considered abuse at all, but the purest form of love (since it was not done for reproduction) and it was entirely acceptable for a young boy to be mentored by an older man.
