Well when it came down to it, all this machine needs to do is access the internet and be able to play DVD's.

As it can do both of these and I didnt want or need to spend a fortune, I opted for the packard bell for the price alone.
I could have had an Intel centrino processor laptop but at £200 more I didnt see the point.
Had I the money to buy a high end laptop that i could use for gaming then perhaps I would have been willing to spend £900 + on one.

I am an AMD fan and dislike Intel with a passion. So again I got what I wanted. Never had a bad experience with a packard bell, i dont need any form of support, the machine is insured on the household insurance and it includes breakdown. Only thing that is ever likely to change on this laptop is the ram, and thats PC2700 SODIMMs so its not like thats a major crisis either.

So far in a days usage the only issue I have found is that I cannot uninstall NAV and NIS, thye dont appear in the programs list and dont appear in add remove software!!! they are only 90 day trial versions too.
