Theres a lot more in the differences between a man and a woman than purely body parts, ie different hormones and mentalities. A child stuck in a same sex maraige is not going to get the benefit of experiencing both outlooks on life etc.
TBH, that arguement could be applied to single parents as well.

I personally think that *if* the people involved are good parents and they love their child(ren), it doesn't matter what gender they are, or whether they are single or in a couple.
