Possibly,if it was pretty old it might have had an incompatable voltage for your board

states if the product becomes faulty after 6 months then they have to fix it before 6 months you can demand refund, But it has to be done in a reasonable time,I called them about something similar and they told me 2-3 weeks is a reasonable time
