I know! Diana's death in '97 was actually staged. She and Dodi had secretely travelled through time to the Titanic, which was sunk by a giant iceberg placed there by the American Secret Service.

BTW, the above is a joke, but is no more or less plausible than some of the conspiracy theories I have heard.
Actually (IMO) the beauty of Conspiracy theories is that they can never be disproved, because if you do disprove them, people will just believe you are part of the conspiracy..
As for the Diana story? I believe it was an accident (sad - even though I didn't particularly like her), but I remember reading a few things about it at the time that do not add up.
