And, yes, Everest does show my CD key.
Is there any way I can change a CD key after I've completed the install?
Say, for the sake of argument, that I did an install but used the wrong key (but somehow it went thorugh and just won't let me activate/update) would I be able to correct that or would I have to install again using the correct key?
(I know that sounds, well, dodgy - but it's not)

Well as long as you don't delete the partition the info is in then you can always go back to Home if it goes wrong.
There are instructions on Microsofts site to change Serial Keys after install, it was to help people put legal keys onto their illegal copies

Ere ya go
