I would like to upgrade to 3mbit (i'm a STB user) but i cannot find our welcome letter so i'm wondering if its possible for NTL to resend our PID to us.

You'll need to ring NTL CS anyway so you can ask them for it

It's a generic number as far as I know so it won't be like asking for state secrets

You'll need to re-provision the equipment in use but if no one here can give you the PID (think it used to be mentioned on Robin Walkers site which is linked to from the nthellworld.co.uk frontpage) then a quick call to CS before the weekend would suffice to get the PID from them.
