Now, I know we've already explored this (a bit).

But I seem to recall that if you max out your upstream (upload) connection for any length of time the network will cut of your downstream (download) connection for a while.

This is something to do with the network not being able to receive the receipt confirmation packets from the traffic it sends you because your upstream connection is maxed.

I don't really know much about the way CS works but it's conceivable that if you're downloading and uploading a fairly heafty amount of data at the same time (which I would assume that you would have to be for online gaming), then this could lead to the situation I'm describing.

I'll freely admit that I could be way off base here though
