I've been trying to convert an avi file I've got into something I can stick on a DVD with some other footage I've got.

The problem is that this file (and some others) come out with no sound when they are converted in any way. I've been working with Sonic MyDVD and TMPGEnc DVD Source creator and both output the file with no sound.

I've tried opening the files in VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod but they both say there's a problem with the sound. NanDub opens the files and outputs the file as another Avi but when that avi is converted there's still no sound.

I have the codecs needed as the original files play o.k. The sound codec is: 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3 (VBR) and the video is

X50/DIVX

I'm so confused as other files with these codecs transfer fine with TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator.

Any ideas?
