I strongly doubt whether doing something to ensure all workers receive pay for bank holidays is any kind of crypto communist plot! Indeed we were warned of disaster from the Tories when the minimum wage was brought in: there has not been and nor will there be any great disaster in the economy from such measures.
I do agree small businesses are important and perhaps could be assisted more.
