I did this last year, and it was relatively straight forward.
I used this book (
Amazon Linky) which is a Haynes style book. very user friendly and helpful, gave me a real degree of confidence. Compared to the cost of buggering it up, I thought it was money well spent.
Overall though I would recommend building your own, that way you can ensure you only use quality components, and the upgrade path is easier
