I Have used them both Linksys and the belkin, while the range was about the same with the laptop around the house, I found the belkin simple to setup compared to Linksys, there both very easy to setup and from a newbie's point of view they really can not go wrong with either unit.
Just to add the Linksys, pc to pc transfer of files was faster than the belkin
