The other day I called up and arranged for a Samsung box to be installed, however, this can't be done until 26th April. I just called CS to see if they could reduce me to the 1Mb tier for a month while I wait for my new STB. The lady on the phone discussed this with her manager and came back and told me that although it was possible to upgrade my box to 1Mbit this was causing more problems than it was worth. Fair enough, I thought, so I proceeded to ask if I could pay £17.99 for a month until I get my Samsung box and she told me to get lost as I am currently receiving the service I signed up for.
So if I had a SACM they would have still refuse to drop me down to the 1Mbit £17.99 tier? I don't think so... I thought this was a bit out of order but seeing as it only affects me for a month I can live with it.
