i completely forgot about this post until i got a email today saying sum1 had posted...looking back over posts theres nothing there i havn't already tried..since posting NTL have sai it was a exchange problem and said they have upgraded it....no change...and i have done EXTENSIVE testing with a bloke who was rather nice and rang me back. No joy with any of this tried it with formatted pc, laptop etc etc directly into main socket...no change still high pings/latency and stupidly low download speeds.
Am now dealing directly with a supervisor who seems to know what hes on about, he thinks it might be something to do with interference as the log i sent him shows big packet loss drops that are being constantly resent (ie the errors) Hes got onto BT to do a extensive testing of the system and if that doesn't work a engineer will have to come look at internal wiring etc..
