And if NTL arrange pickup they aren't very good at it, Look on Ebay for a start, as well as a few people I've know who have NTL boxes collecting dust in their flats from previous subscribers long gone.
As for the Scratching their arse drinking tea bit, I've seen 3 guys working on an install before, 2 doing just that and watching the other one.
