Just to let you all know that at 15:00pm today i rang NTL CS. This was after reading what was on this thread about the upgrade's
I rang them because i did'nt feel sure about doing the manual online upgrade.
Anyway this is what happened..............
Me - Hello i was wondering about the BB upgrade's in the Bolton area and when they will be happening ?
CS assistant - Yes sir there being done now. But i can do it for you right away
. What speed are you on at the moment. And is it modem or STB?
Me - I'm on 750Kbps. And it's a modem.
CS assistant - Ok sir you have now been upgraded to 2MB. Just unplug your modem and plug back in and your done
Me - Well thankyou very much indeed
And she was right. I checked the
http://192.168.100.1/P_operation.htm and sure enough 2Mb
The CS assistant told me that the automatic update's are going out. But, alot of them are being bounced back
. So like A LOT of other people have allready said in this thread. RING THEM UP ! Took 5 min's for the whole process.
Just have to say i get fantastic service for NTL BB and even better now.
