I suppose like a lot of you I have been waiting for the NTL speed upgrade to happen. This was due to take place on 08/03/05. I thought I would receive something from NTL regarding this or there would be something on their website but I have been checking and so far nothing. Tonight I went to ntlworld.com and into the section 'Upgrade my Broadband speed' and clicked on it. It took me to a page of my account that said - "You are currently on 750k. You can upgrade to 2Mb for no extra charge". I took that option, the modem rebooted and I am now on an obviously faster connection. It would therefore seem the upgrade will not happen automatically

and you have to go in and do it manually. Hope this is of help to some of you or maybe you guys already knew?
