They have lost 1.25Mb... my point is NTL don't offer 750k anymore so in essence my service is no longer 750k it's 2Mb I am paying for a 2Mb service not 750k. If the timescale orangebird talks about is correct and it takes a few months for me or anybody else to be given the speed we now pay for (free upgrade or not we're still paying for it) then they can demand compensation as their speed is less than half what it should be.
Everybody is saying be greatful for the free upgrade, I don't understand why? We do pay for the service, they're increasing their speeds to compete with ADSL and Telewest. If orangebird's timescale is correct then it's a absurd upgrade for STB users.
