I was bitten by adsl last year and the experiance not good, but things might have changed since then. I had my NTL boardband 4 years ago still got the orginal surfboard modem. On the whole the service as been very reliable. I'm not a heavy user but would like to take advantage of all the new high speed broadband services coming on line if I want to. The problem with the NTL allowances is that there are no NTL packages that take this into account. I don't mean I'll be streaming them 24/7 but it would be nice to be able to use these service and not worry about getting into trouble with NTL for a perfectly legal use of the service.

I'm a shoutcast user listen to quiet a lot of streams useally at 128kbs. How many hours a day of listening will 1gb aday give me ? I also like to dip into foreign video streams ocassionally these can be anything up to 705kbs and more. This is what attracted me to broadband if this avenue is now being closed I may as well just go on the lowest speed and just use my connection for browsing. I am getting abit p'd off with accusations and crimalisation of large bandwidth users being illegal downloaders.
