i have a standalone modem for my BB but i also have a set top box for my tv so i will quiz them on this matter and let you all know speak soon ppl
There are a few people here that work for NTL, I am one of them, although no longer for cust care. It is correct they were gonna charge £25 to existing customers but they decided that it was not needed.

The existing modems will be fine I think they can handle upto 8MB maybe more. Also if you are on the 300K and want the new speed you will need to call them as moving to the new 1MB will have a cap of 3GB per month whereas the 300K doesn't. The other speeds will change automatically. hope that helps.
