I am having the same problems as you and it is annoying to put it mildly. Take a look at my thread
here and try to give those details it helps also if you PM BBKing your MAC number he has a program he wrote that can monitor your connection and gives him details that can help solve it. BBK does work for NTL and between Ignition and BBK it can be sorted.
