I heard yesterday there are positions in Cardiff for service technicians, the old Residential Technician type job.

It looks possible that the reason for splitting these positions away from the network tech positions, after such a short period of combining them is to possibly outsource them.

It would certainly fall into place with the comment made a few months ago by a Senior manager from Swansea about his guys being capable of being given a van and out on the road to look after the network. Perhaps this idiot has convinced management that he can supply cheap Manpower employed technicians to look after in-house and network jobs.
