I've tried sending myself an e-mail from a Yahoo accont. No sign of it on Spamcop or NTL wtf is going on?

Actually, the reference to Spamcop is a red herring - is it poss. to change the thread title? My attempt to send myself an e-mail from a yahoo account generated an error at the Yahoo end, stating

212.250.162.8 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 Invalid recipient: <xxxxxxx@ntlworld.com>
Giving up on 212.250.162.8.

Can ANYONE tell me if this is a temporary NTL glitch, or a total cock-up?

I keep having to log into webmail because my mail isn't always downloading into OE.I also have been getting double or triple of the same emails (spam in triplicate

) This has been happening on and off for the last three days.I checked the server status but it said that an email issue had been resolved!! Really? but then you never know with NTL.

It may not be related to your issue but I've had no complaints about email for some months SINCE the last time so this has been noticable.
