The analogue cable box is actually still the property of ntl. Presumably it has now been denied access now that the account it was on has been cancelled.


However, it is possible (although against ntl's terms & conditions) to take the cable you've already split & run upstairs & plug that straight into the 2nd TV - giving you the 5 main channels, & possibly also Sky News & other "clear" channels.

But, if you do that, you must make sure that you are using decent quality coax - e.g. low loss digital satellite grade coax. You must also make sure that the connectors are fitted correctly. Poor quality cable & poorly fitted connectors can affect the quality of your service & also that of your neighbours. But, as I said above, it's against the T&Cs, so if you mess it up in any way, ntl will charge you..
