Re: i would like to take new internet connection

to cable forum.

There are many speeds of internet service available, from the deadly slow dial up (fine if all you want is the occasional email), through to lightening broadband of which various speeds exist.

To help you choose, we need to know a little more what you hope to get from the internet. Are you just going to do a little email and browsing of web sites. Are you likely to download lots of music files. Are you going to play games online?

Where you live may also be a factor as to whether you can currently only have a dial up service, or if you can get broadband via ADSL (BT Telephone line) and at what speeds (depends on how far you are from an enabled exchange), or even cable (NTL / Telewest).
