Typical Ntl website, it was working earlier, honest !!

It doesn't mention ADSL specifically but it's the only way they would be able to deliver to offnet customers.
I'm not an expert on this but I believe it's called ADSL option 3. BT supply the DSLAM at the exchange and send the datastreams to NTL over ATM links.
