I have a temporary interest in avi editors. Why? Because my new digital camera will take short avi clips. Unfortunately, I kept forgetting that if you hold the camera sideways then you really need to stand your monitor on its side to see the clip properly!

I found a couple of avi editors that would rotate the clip, but they both removed the sound. I then found a programme that would strip the sound from the original clip, but I have yet to find a program that will successfully join the silent rotated clip and the sound together. Hence my interest in trying the MS program.
I haven't got WinXP on this pc and it's the one that i use most.... so the MS program was a no-no But let me know how you get on... could d/l it for the laptop... but i have now tried the one that gaz suggested and while it's a big file.... the little i've tried seems really good It's the http://www.ulead.com/vs/trial.htm one . Very professional.. so far..... but i haven't realy tried a huge amount with it.... but i may end up going with that one and paying the full whack... will see.... not sure i'll kazaa it... too many people i know have been caught out badly that way .
