How come we are not reading articles criticising Liddell for not telling the ref that he was offside? Where are the people calling him a cheat for not admitting it?

Well, I think he's a cheat
In fairness, it's very well to come out and say these things, but it smacks a bit of Beckham and his 'I'm clever 'cos I got myself booked' rubbish.
Andy Liddell might say that he was blatantly offside but, even after the replays, it was difficult to see that the ball came off a Sheffield United player and not one of ours, so it must have been difficult in the spur of the moment for the linesman. As for the comment about Sorenson well, that's nothing new - a goalkeeper
should stop every shot.
I just think he's trying to rub salt into the wounds of the Villa fans - with a bit of luck, he'll get done for his comments (although there's no particular reason why he should).
I just think that he should engage his brain before speaking - if they play Villa again at some point in the future, he'll probably start moaning if he gets booed every time he touches the ball.
