Yeah, but his style of play has been proven to work at that level - it may not be pretty but it has tended to get results.
I was the same when Villa took O'Leary on as manager - didn't like the way he got the team to play, thought he was a chequebook manager and all that, but he turned Villa round and got us to 6th in the Premiership last season.
Personally, I think that you could do a lot worse than Megson and, who knows, maybe he'll do a Dowie for you (great bouncebackability
