But the NTL coax does transmit chanels 1-5 in a format sutable for decoding by a standard tv reciever. So plug the cable in the back of your telly and you get 5 (and sometimes a few) more channels.

NTL cable does not broadcast Freeview signals so if you plug a freeview box into it you get nothing.
