LLMs simply absorb what they're given, good and bad. Just as Humans may know about good and bad things. The difference is that humans tend to have a moral code that distinguishes between the two.
On the other hand, it can be useful for AI to work out potential bad actions in order to prevent them, just as humans might try to do.
