Re: Virgin TV (2026)
Virgin have used ambiguous messaging in the past to try and manipulate customers. The best example I can think of is when they were desperate to keep customers after the sky channels were withdrawn. There were giving out all sorts of good offers to keep customers and saying that this would be for life, when they increased subscriptions they explained it away by saying it wasn't literally for life, but for the life of the offer.
It looks to me as though they could be trying to make the implication that those who don't move over to 360 will lose service completely, whereas it probably means that they will be starting their usual program of phasing out boxes which is to start to delete various channel genres. In the past this has meant that standalone/premium services like movies then sports are withdrawn first to manage migration and gradually get customers onto the new software. It will only be at the end where basic channels will start to be removed, unverified information on the internet has suggested that Virgin aim to complete this migration by the third or fourth quarter of 2027.
This would tie in with giving them time to start to remove channels to prompt customers to move over with cessation at the suggested time.
