Most of the council ones around here were sold off and then demolished for housing . . leading to a shortage obviously, which then leads to hospitals having nowhere to send elderly people needing care, therefore taking up needed hospital bed spaces and leading to patients waiting in corridors, and ambulances that can't go anywhere because there's nowhere to put the injured/ill people they still have onboard.
