Not a reform gov here but for info how things are now...
Some good improvements, and some bad to counter.
During Covid they reduced our service to 2 buses an hour, but only just reinstated the 3rd bus making it every 20 mins which helps a lot.
The online tracking (when it works, is very helpful).
They now have a screen to tell you where you are and how long to the next stop. But the voice of this is quite loud and ends up really annoying. But it's handy for those that are travelling without knowing the route.
The bad news though, is that they've scrapped a lot of the price plans. My wife gets the bus to work every day, a yearly pass was £590, then it went up to £700. Now they've scrapped the yearly pass and now they only offer a 3 monthly pass which is £215 which bring it up to £860 a year.
Luckily we ended up buying the yearly pass on their app before they ended it and got 3 years worth stacked up saving nearly £500.
Bus prices are a rip off. Glad to have a disabled bus pass at least and to be able to use before 9.30am next year will help a bit.
