If they are relegated, they’ll be subject to EFL rules rather than EPL, which are a lot tighter on the financial side, while the expensive players will want to play at the top level to stand a chance of representing their country. That could lead to an exodus of players who get £100k+.
When Rangers were relegated in 2012, it took years for them to recover.
