They get away with stealing money now from people for content they have no involvement in, for doing nothing but existing so this wouldn't be anything new for them.

Since we also have spineless and toothless regulators as well as Governments that were/are spineless and toothless when it comes to the BBC they will just leave them to it and give them what they want.


The problem with the £11 or whatever they decide on though is that it will need to be for all Internet connections, so your car even though technically you cannot use it for TV etc, someone will find a way, then your mobile phone because you can use that, then you smart devices that have a built in sim so in the end you could be looking at upwards of £50 a month depending on number of devices, I am sure the BBC would love that instead of the current mere in their eyes £15 a month, they need the extra money to add to the billions they get from selling shows abroad, they have got to make the money somehow to pay off the victims of their stars and the extortionate salaries they pay them.

The aim of the BBC and the nutjobs like "The Social Market Foundation" is that we all pay for one source of information and that there is only one source of information and that is the BBC and we currently have a Government who is in the process of trying to make that happen, as mentioned a while ago in the OSA Thread.

What I think though is that the Government will just give the BBC another 6 years of being able to charge the TV Tax and then also expand it to cover not just what it does now but basically any media regardless of source and regardless of whether it's live or not.
