As far as I'm aware it's only the Stream (Flex) box which doesn't have a hard drive that shows a blue LED.

What does a blue light on the Stream box mean?
This means the TV box is on standby. Just press the power button on the Virgin TV remote to wake the TV box up and turn it on. After that you’ll see a white light.

Thanks for the reply. It's the standard TV360 master. The label on the bottom states that there is a "HDD" inside. I suspect they've sent a refurb in which the boot prom sets the LED to blue when in operation. It's RED on standby.
And don't you just hate the new "feature" which makes you press a second button to bring your previous programme up. Which VM dumbo decided to do that "feature"?

... and you have no idea how many times I had to do that!
