Re: Reform UK's chronicles

This is quite bad and this time they're on camera: https://channel4news.substack.com/p/...med-undercover

Quote:
Undercover footage verified by Channel 4 News reveals a secret plot by senior Reform UK figures to break the law on party donations. A leading legal expert is now calling for a criminal investigation.
On video, appearing to conspire to break the law on foreign donations.

It seems that:
  • They openly discussed a US firm paying for polling. This donation was never declared
  • Two senior Reform figures are implicated in the recording
  • They discuss keeping it secret and that "they'll get away with it".
  • They also discussed a £500,000 donation with the undercover team, making it clear it would be the US-based father giving money via his UK-based son. This is textbook illegal.
  • Farage was at one meeting; he seems savvy enough to have not directly implicated himself when the donation was discussed.
  • The polling that was paid for was conducted by JL Partners Polling and given to the Telegraph without disclosing it was ultimately backed by Reform. A breach of the British Polling Council's rules. The Telegraph didn't know Reform (via a US company) paid for it.
