Reform say they didn't need permission - why did they apply for it?

The Council issued a LTEN counter notice before the event took place - a LTEN counter notice means that the event can't take place; why would the Council issue this if Farage Fest didn't need an LTEN?

btw, I see you've moved the goalposts from "people complained" to "they didn't need something that they applied for"...

From various Council website - info re TEN and LTEN requirements

Quote:
When You Need a TEN
  • You sell alcohol to guests.
  • You charge an entry fee or ticket price that includes "free" alcoholic drinks.
  • You host the party in a public or unlicensed venue (like a village hall) that does not already cover your activities.
  • You provide regulated entertainment like live or recorded music and dancing.
  • You serve hot food or hot drinks between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

“From the initial planning through to delivery in just one week, we welcomed 600 people and operated from 11pm doors open through to an 11am site close. This was completely new territory for every team involved.”
