David Davis has just used parliamentary privilege to say some very uncomfortable things about Nicola Sturgeon. It’s well worth watching the video of his speech which he has shared on Xitter, but bear in mind that he can say things in the chamber that the rest of us can’t repeat here without risk of being sued by Nippy (although the chances of that are of course extremely slim).

It is legally permissible to report whatever is said in parliament, and such reports are protected by legal privilege as long as they’re fair and accurate.
