I get you don't like Farage, that is fine, but if you want to call Tether a "Dodgy Crypto" then you need to call all of them "Dodgy" no matter who made it, no matter why it was made, they must all be classed as "Dodgy".

The main reason I can find for Farage not backing and wanting to stop the Bank of England from generating it's own "Stable Coin" is because in doing so, you would be required to:

1: Hand over all your privacy on usage of the coin because it would be tracked

2: Require Digital ID to purchase and Spend

3: Be able to be removed from you at a moments notice because you would be forced to use a "UK Government" created wallet

4: Be restricted to only "Government Approved" merchants

5: Be Linked to the value of the Euro not the pound because the EU wouldn't allow a "Britcoin" to be used in the EU without it being linked to the price of the Euro.

I am sorry but the whole reason behind Crypto is to be away from the central banks, the governments over reach and spying, the ability to obtain it without purchasing and many other things.

I would not trust the UK Government no matter which party it was with control over that, I don't even trust them with my money as it is but have practically no choice but to allow them to see into my bank, what I am spending money on etc just like every other person in this country.

Sorry but Farage is right to not want a Britcoin, but if he tries to push Tether as a coin for the UK, he will be wrong for that, the same if they tried to push XRP and others.
