Aside from some films that have proper 4K rescan and remasters done from the original 35mm film reels. Ben-Hur looks phenomenal in 4K.

Many remasters on Blu-Ray and early 4K were only scanned at 2ak and down sampled to 1080p. So a 4K from those is just upscaled. For preservation many are now getting redone properly at 4K sometimes high resolution.
